Freight forwarder Advance International (AI) is celebrating what it calls the "excellent results” of the Advantage Express intermodal rail service between Almaty in Kazakhstan and Poti marketed by its daughter company, Advantage International Transport & Logistic Ltd.
The service, says AI, gives Chinese exporters a westbound landbridge through
Kazakhstan and the Caucasus that enables them to bypass congested Chinese ports and avoid surcharges being applied by container shipping lines in the Asia-Europe trade. The service was launched two years ago and is now moving more than 100 TEU weekly from China to destinations in Russia. the CIS and Europe ....
